How long will it take to get my website up and running?

1. It depends on what size website you are looking for and how quickly you can provide me with the elements you want to include on your site.  I work pretty quickly - check out our packages page for estimated times. 
   

Can you connect my website to my Facebook account?

1. Definitely.  Lots of businesses are using Facebook to promote their businesses using social networks.  Honeycomb Web Designs has a Facebook page, too!
   

Can you come and take pictures of my business?

1. Absolutely!  Our sister business, Daugherty Photography, has everything you need to get wonderful images of your business or non-profit organization to show the world.  Check out some of the commercial photographs that Daugherty Photography has taken over the years.
   

What’s a domain name and how do I get one?

1. A domain name is your address on the internet.  My domain name is “www.honeycombwebdesigns.com”.  Several internet services exist for ‘registering’ domain names.  You’ll have to choose a name that no one else ‘owns’ and then pay to register it.  Prices vary for these, but I can help you find a good match for your needs. 
   

Do you ‘host’ my website?

1. No.  I will create your website and then post it to your web host.  We can talk about the best web hosting solution for you, but these services, such as GoDaddy and Cox, generally charge a monthly fee.  The fee depends on how large your website is, but the largest websites I have built cost less than $10 a month to host with these services. 
   

What is a website host?

1. A website host is an internet company that has enormous computers called ‘servers’ that actually have your website stored in them.  They are constantly running, so that visitors can access your website at any time.  It’s important that your web host is reliable and fast.  I can help you choose a good provider for you.  Whenever I make a change to your website, I send the finished product to these servers and they keep the most recent version.
